These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of vehicles and related services provided by Minoan King Rent a Car in Crete. By making a reservation or renting a vehicle from us, the renter confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted the following terms.
The rental agreement is concluded between Minoan King Rent a Car and the renter named in the booking confirmation. The renter is fully responsible for the vehicle during the rental period and must comply with all terms stated herein.
The minimum age to rent a vehicle depends on the selected vehicle category and is clearly displayed during the booking process. All drivers must hold a valid driving license for at least the minimum required period. An international driving permit may be required for non-EU licenses.
Only drivers registered in the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle. Additional drivers may be added at the time of booking or vehicle pickup, subject to applicable conditions.
Vehicles may be collected from airports, stations, or delivered to hotels, apartments, or villas, depending on the selected location. The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and place stated in the rental agreement. Late returns may result in additional charges.
The vehicle is delivered in clean and roadworthy condition. The renter must inspect the vehicle upon pickup and report any existing damage. Failure to report damage may result in liability for repair costs.
The rental period is defined in the booking confirmation. Any extension must be approved by Minoan King Rent a Car. Unauthorized extensions may invalidate insurance coverage.
The standard fuel policy is Full to Full. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup. Missing fuel may be charged at the applicable rate.
Basic insurance coverage is included according to Greek law. Optional insurance packages may be available to reduce excess liability. The renter remains liable for damages not covered by insurance, including negligence, misuse, or violation of traffic laws.
The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities, off-road driving (unless explicitly allowed), racing, towing, or transportation of hazardous materials. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs strictly voids all insurance coverage.
The renter is responsible for all traffic violations, fines, and penalties incurred during the rental period. Administrative handling fees may apply.
Specific licensing requirements apply to scooters, motorbikes, and ATVs. Helmets are mandatory. The renter is fully responsible for compliance with Greek traffic regulations and for any damage resulting from misuse.
In the event of an accident or breakdown, the renter must immediately notify Minoan King Rent a Car and, if required, local authorities. Failure to report incidents may result in full liability.
Cancellation terms depend on the booking conditions selected at the time of reservation. Any applicable cancellation fees are clearly stated during booking.
Payment methods and any required deposit are specified during the booking process. Deposits may be pre-authorized on a credit or debit card, depending on the vehicle category.
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and is used solely for rental and legal purposes.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Greek law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Greece.
By completing a reservation or signing the rental agreement, the renter confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full.
